YURAN PENYERTAAN : RM500.00 (1 hari) Course Outline : This course examines how generative AI tools – from chatbots to automated translation systems – are reshaping newsroom workflows, and where they quietly introduce risk. Journalists are increasingly using AI to draft copy, summarise documents, search for background information, translate interviews and even sense-check claims Yet these systems can produce fluent but false information, fabricate sources, misinterpret context and reproduce hidden biases. The course confronts a simple question: when the machine sounds confident, how do we know it is correct? Through practical case studies and hands-on exercises, participants will dissect real examples of AI-generated inaccuracies and learn structured verification techniques designed for an AI-assisted newsroom. The focus is not on rejecting these tools, but on using them responsibly. These include understanding their limitations, spotting red flags, and reinforcing editorial discipline. By the end, journalists will be better equipped to integrate AI into their workflow without compromising accuracy, credibility or public trust.
